Thirty-plus years. Generations of Senegalese lineage. 5,000+ restored relationships across America. Meet the practitioner whose only job is to bring love back home.
My name is Baba Ali. I was born into the work. My grandmother was a respected healer in a village outside Dakar — she could read your future in the way you tied your headwrap. My father was a marabout initiated into our family's Serer spiritual line at fifteen. I started carrying water for ceremonies before I could read.
I came to the United States, settled in Houston, and opened a private practice soon after. In more than thirty years I have served more than 5,000 clients across all fifty states. Most of them came to me when they had run out of other options. Most of them, in time, came back to thank me.
I do not perform on television. I do not sell ten-dollar honey jars on Etsy. I do not promise the impossible. I sit with each client, read the cowrie shells honestly, and tell them the truth — even when the truth is "this work is not for you." That refusal, more than any spell I have ever cast, is the foundation of my reputation.
Six decades. Four moments that shaped the practice.
The first of four children in a family of practitioners. Carries water for ceremonies from age four; learns to identify forty-seven sacred herbs by age nine.
Spends three years studying with a family marabout in his home village — a keeper of the ancestral Serer and Wolof rites. Learns the shell-reading rites and the love-work rituals that would become his specialty.
Marries, settles in Houston, and begins quiet community work — initially serving fellow expatriates from West Africa before American clients begin seeking him out by word of mouth.
Founds the practice that becomes TopSpells USA. Thirty-plus years later, serving clients in twenty cities across the country, with the same hand-crafted process every casting receives.
Authentic love work draws from one ancestral Senegalese lineage, carried through three complementary streams.
The oracle and cowrie shell tradition of the Serer people of Senegal. The shell readings and the guiding verses that open every consultation come from here.
The marabout tradition of protective and love-binding practice rooted in Wolof spiritual custom. The candle work, the binding rituals, and the love-flame techniques are inherited from my family's line.
The veneration of family spirits common to Senegalese village tradition. Ancestral cleansing — the foundation of most reconciliation work — clears inherited patterns that block love in the present.
These are not marketing. They are the commitments I made when I was initiated, and the standards I refuse to lower for a paying client.
The cowrie reading happens before the quote. If the work is wrong for you, I will say so.
No harm work. No revenge spells. Love that survives is love that is freely given, amplified by ritual.
Written quotes before any payment. Every dollar spent on materials accounted for in a written record.
Client data stored offline on encrypted media. Destroyed ninety days after the casting completes.
If results do not arrive on schedule, the casting is repeated. If they still do not arrive, materials are refunded in full.
